Terms of Service

Service description
Prooflo is an AI-assisted language editing tool designed for academic theses. When you submit a thesis, Prooflo applies a set of specialised editing skills — covering grammar, punctuation, clarity, consistency, and academic register — and returns the edited document as a file with tracked changes. You retain full control over which edits to accept or reject.
Acceptable use
By submitting a document to Prooflo, you confirm that:
- You are the author of the submitted document.
- You have the right to share the document with a third-party service for the purposes of language editing.
- The document does not contain malicious code, embedded scripts, or content designed to damage or interfere with our systems.
- You will use the edited output in accordance with the academic integrity requirements of your institution.
What we do and do not provide
Prooflo provides language editing. This means corrections to grammar, punctuation, spelling, phrasing, consistency, and academic register. It does not mean:
- Content creation — we do not write arguments, conclusions, or analysis on your behalf.
- Structural advice — we do not reorganise chapters or restructure your argument.
- Subject-matter review — we do not verify the accuracy of your citations, data, or disciplinary claims.
- Grade guarantees — improved language quality does not guarantee a particular assessment outcome.
Limitations
Processing time estimates are approximate and may vary depending on document length and system load. AI-assisted editing may not identify every language error, and you should review the output carefully before submission. Prooflo is a tool to assist your editing process, not a substitute for your own judgement.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Prooflo's liability to you in connection with the service is limited to the amount you paid for the specific editing job in question. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including any impact on your academic results.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
